Why does everything end in a presentation?
Apparently our brains work best via conversation – we’re more creative and imaginative ‘in conversation’. That makes sense to me, because I have often found ‘prep’ sessions where the researchers on a project sit down and talk about what’s gone on in the project the most useful and insightful part of the process. And yet… that really useful conversation gets turned into a ‘tell’ session at the debrief when researchers get in front of clients.
So let’s include conversation with clients as part of our outputs. And let’s not just talk to research managers, but the team who need to implement the research findings too.
