Why not try this simple conversation starter suggested by Rohan in his blog A Learning a Day: ask people “what is something great you’ve learnt recently?” (He said cool, but he’s American, and I can’t cope with that word…)

It semms like a very generous and positive way to start a session, and will mean everyone there will come away with something new to think about – before you’ve even got started on the creative task you’re about to take on.
