For a while now I’ve been asking participants to write down their own response in groups on cards.

It helps log spontaneous thoughts and encourages them to be aware of their own reaction vs others.

It just popped into my head that a nice version of this (as long as people are feeling warmed up and happy) would be to get participants to write their first reactions onto bigger boards (think blankety blank) and then for the researcher to take a photo of them ‘owning’ their response.

Good for analysis recall for the researcher, great collateral for a presentation…
